Michigan might not endure a more heartbreaking loss this century.
The Wolverines were leading Michigan State, 23-21, with 10 seconds remaining. A win looked imminent with Michigan about to punt on fourth down.
But alas, Michigan botched the snap and the punter failed to fall on the ball. Michigan State’s Jalen Watts-Jackson recovered and brought it back for the game-winning touchdown as time expired.

Just like that, Michigan is 5-2 with dreams of a Big Ten title and playoff berth all but dead, while Michigan State is 7-0 and in the Big Ten East’s driver’s seat with Ohio State.
